about

Noelle began her academic journey at Queen’s University in Canada, studying Environmental Geography. In 2021 - after what can only be described as a thirty-year adventure sabbatical - she returned to complete her B.A., taking courses in Art History and Film & Media through Bader Castle Queen’s University, UK. During her decades away, she co-founded a volunteer organization sparked by an environmental expedition to Everest Basecamp. She went on to design programs and lead adventures with the Red Cross and local NGO’s across Nepal, Thailand, Ghana, Peru, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. As a logistics coordinator and on-the-ground problem solver, she cultivated a versatile skill set shaped by unfamiliar landscapes and cross-cultural collaboration. Eventually, she shifted her focus toward film. Producing came naturally, and a deeper impulse emerged: the desire to express through her own creative voice. That voice guides her work today. Through multimedia she looks for the subtle shifts in perception that reveal deeper layers of experience. Her work is rooted in intuition, where the seen and the unseen meet, where truth often appears only when you look sideways.

noellechalifoux.studio is an evolving archive of these explorations - a collection of images, sounds and words tracing the contours of how perception changes and how meaning emerges in the spaces between.
